Woman killed in Ellicott City hit-and-run, Howard County Police say

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle that continued driving on Baltimore National Pike after the crash, according to Howard County Police.

Investigators believe the woman, whom police did not identify, was crossing a crosswalk on Baltimore National Pike at Ridge Road when she was struck by the vehicle, believed to be a silver Nissan Altima, police said in a news release.

The vehicle continued driving east, police said. The woman was taken to Shock Trauma, where she died.
