Woman pleads guilty to killing 4-year-old stepdaughter in Stockton

A Stockton woman pleaded guilty to killing her 4-year-old stepdaughter, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday. Zulma Chavez, 22, was arrested in November 2018 in connection with the death of her stepdaughter, Serenity, Stockton police said in 2018. On Tuesday, Chavez pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and two felony child abuse charges, the DA’s Office said. Get the full story in the video above.
