Woman was set on fire after an assault, police say

A Fairfield Township woman remains in critical condition after she was set on fire by her boyfriend's son last week, police reported.

Robbi Davon Robinson, 23, is charged with aggravated arson and felonious assault. He is being held at the Butler County Jail awaiting trial.

The victim, Brenda Scott, 50, is in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Fairfield Township police said Monday.

Investigators said the attack occurred May 11 at a home on Arroyo Ridge Court.

"Scott was in a bedroom when Robinson assaulted her and then set her on fire," a press release said. "Scott got out of the house through a second-story window and into the backyard where a neighbor found her and called for help."

Court documents state Scott was punched in the face, had two teeth knocked out and suffered severe burns. She was flown to the hospital in a helicopter.

Police have not revealed a possible motive behind the attack.

The investigation is ongoing. Robinson's next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
