Woman shot in Hartford Sunday in area of Albany Avenue, police say
A woman who was shot in Hartford Sunday evening was being treated at the hospital, police said.
Hartford Police Department patrol officers found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound when they responded to the area of 826 Albany Ave. at about 5:45 p.m. after receiving a Shot Spotter activation, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
The victim, a female in her 20s, was alert and conscious on scene and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Boisvert said. The woman, who was not identified by police, was listed in stable condition, he said.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions is investigating, Boisvert said.
