Members of the surrounding community said this was the first time something like this had happened in their neighborhood.

“It’s jarring for sure,” one resident said. “You wanna make sure that your family and friends are all safe when they come visit you and when you lay your head down at night. Just gonna definitely take some precautions and make sure that we all good.”

Another resident said, “We’re pretty tucked away since we’re a new community, so a lot of people don’t even recognize that we’re over here.”

“This is definitely…was not on the bingo card,” they finished.

PGPD was still working to determine what led to the stabbing and to identify a suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS or use the P3 Tips app.
