A woman woke up to find two golden retrievers in her Florida yard. There was a clue

In Southwest Florida, you might wake up to find many critters in your front yard.

Opossums, palmetto bugs, lizards.

But two stray golden retrievers? Not so likely.

But that’s what happened to a Fort Myers woman on Saturday, according to the Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

The agency’s Facebook post the following day included a picture of the pair of tan pooches, chilling on dirt, wearing black collars.

A Good Samaritan posted pictures of the pair on Facebook hoping someone out there would recognize them.

According to local station NBC 2, one of the dogs is pregnant.

The caption adds, fortunately, one of the pups was microchipped, and both were able to return home to their owners.

Under the LCAS’s post, commenters were pleased by the outcome and some guessed why the retrievers were on the loose.

“They were on an adventure. So glad they are home safe.”
