Two very funny women, Sommore and Mary Lynn Rajskub, grace the stage in Connecticut this week. There’s also a female-focused Ramones tribute act and the exceptional rock singer Grace Potter.

Elsewhere, loud fun bands are gathering together, including a dozen local bands providing a Rock Fix in New London, 1980s MTV exemplars Extreme and Living Colour touring together at Foxwoods’ Great Cedar Showroom and the wondrous California skate punks FIDLAR headlining a Toad’s Place gig.

Here are some of the top things to do and see this week.

FIDLAR Toad’s Place, 300 York St., New Haven

The exceptional punk-pop band FIDLAR are Californians and seldom make it to the East Coast. The “Cheap Beer”-loving, “Awkward” anthem writers are on tour. The band is generally an opening act, but when they play Toad’s Place in New Haven on Jan. 21 at 8 p.m., they’ll be headlining. $30, $25 in advance. toadsplace.com.

Grace Potter Infinity Hall, 32 Front St., Hartford

Mary Lynn Rajskub Mohegan Sun, 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd., Uncasville

You probably know her as Chloe O’Brian in “24,” but Mary Lynn Rajskub’s truest longest artistic path is as a comedian. She’s been in episodes of some of the hippest comedy series of all time, including “Mr. Show,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Flight of the Conchords,” “Maron” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Jan. 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 27 at both 6 and 8 p.m. at Mohegan Sun’s Comix Comedy Club. $20-$45. mohegansun.com.

Rockaway Bitch Cafe Nine, 250 State St., New Haven

There’s Lez Zeppelin, there’s Magical Mystery Girls and there’s Some Girls, so of course there’s a female-fronted Ramones tribute band. Rockaway Bitch is headlining the latest Go Kat Go psychopunkabilly event on Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. at Cafe Nine in New Haven. New Haven punks The Hulls (named for a 19th-century New Haven brewery) are also on the bill. $10. cafenine.com.

Sommore Hartford Funny Bone, 194 Buckland Hills Dr. Suite #1054, Manchester

Sommore has been on those comedy package tours including “Queens of Comedy” and “Festival of Laughs.” Here’s a chance to see her solo. She’s no less regal on her own. When she’s not being called a queen she’s known as the “Diva of Comedy.” Jan. 26 at 7:30 and 10:15 p.m., Jan. 27 at 7 and 9:45 p.m. $42-$52. hartford.funnybone.com/.

Extreme and Living Colour Foxwoods Resort Casino, 350 Trolley Line Blvd., Mashantucket

Extreme and Living Colour played Hartford just five months ago. Now that same tour (which has been to Europe and back in the interim) is at Foxwoods’ Great Cedar Showroom on Jan. 26 at 8 p.m., with Extreme blasting through everything from “More Than Words” to “Get the Funk Out” to “Decadence Dance” and Living Colour putting special focus on their “Stain” album, which has turned 30. The show is technically sold out but there are “verified resale” tickets available on the Foxwoods website. foxwoods.com.

OT7 Quanny The Webster, 31 Webster St., Hartford

Philadelphia’s OT7 Quanny has a singular rapping style and a wry sense of humor. Key tracks include “Dog Talk” and “No Big Homies.” Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. $50; $150 VIP package. thewebsterct.com.

Rock Fix The Telegraph, 150 Bank St., New London

This annual multi-band winter wildness in New London has benefited from the expansion of the Telegraph record store to a new autonomous zone on the whaling city’s Bank Street. The lineup this year includes Marvelous Liars, Horns of Ormus, Fatal Film, Mitch Kramer, James Burke, Xenos, A Former Friend, Superbald, Number One Babe, Brian Gore and the Tender Fritters and Fimone.
