WOMEN'S GOLF: Bemidji State finishes 13th at NSIC Championship

Apr. 25—SMITHVILLE, Mo. — The Bemidji State women's golf team ended its season Sunday at the NSIC Championship in Smithville, Mo., finishing 13th overall with a team score of 1,144 strokes — 280 over par.

Augustana won the team title with a score of 940, 76 strokes above par. Wayne State (993) and Upper Iowa (996) rounded out the top three.

Mollie Albrecht had the best individual finish for the Beavers with a three-round score of 267 (87-93-87), tying her for 36th overall at 51 strokes above par. Morgan Sammon was second for BSU, finishing in 47th with a 279 (96-90-93).

Other finishers for Bemidji State included Jocelyn Nyblom with a 296 (95-104-97), Maddy Sawyer with a 308 (95-106-107) and Katie Leblanc with a 314 (107-102-105).

Wayne State's Abbey Kurmel won the individual championship with a score of 230, 14 over par.

The Beavers graduate senior Grace Van Brocklin from the program.
