What would you do if you won $925 million dollars? Many Hudson Valley residents are eager to find out if they have the chance to win this weekend's Powerball jackpot after it hit the fourth largest prize in the game's 30-year history.

Last week's Powerball was $850 million and increased after 30 consecutive days of no winner. The jackpot's cash value, according to the Multi-State Lottery, is estimated at $432.4 million. The lottery said the top three of the game's 30-year history all reached over $1 billion.

The last Powerball jackpot prize of $1.08 billion went to a ticket in California on July 19.

Everyone seems to have lofty dreams for how they would spend a winning lottery ticket; buy a mansion, get a sports car, or maybe even buy a mansion and a sports car on a tropical island. Some Hudson Valley residents said they had ambitious dreams, but most said they would choose a more practical route to their spending.

Cruz said he would also use the money for college tuition and to repay people who helped him in his life.

"I wasn't planning on playing the lottery this weekend but maybe I will now," he said.

The Powerball jackpot numbers will be announced on Saturday, Sept. 30. If there is no winner, the prize will increase, likely to over $1 billion.
