One ticket has ended the race to become a billionaire.

A single ticket sold in Florida matched all Tuesday night's drawing numbers to win the estimated $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot, ending a four-month stretch of lottery rollovers.

The Florida Lottery announced shortly after the drawing that the winning ticket was sold in Neptune Beach, Florida.

Lottery officials announced that the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday night would have a top prize of an estimated $1.58 billion, making it the largest jackpot the lottery has ever awarded. Tuesday's drawing had a cash option of $783.3 million, according to Mega Millions.

What are the winning Mega Millions jackpot lottery numbers?

The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were 32, 19, 13, 33, and 20. The Mega Ball was 14 and the Megaplier was 2X.

Where is Neptune Beach, Florida? Mega Millions ticket sold at Publix

The winner has not yet been publicly identified, but the winning ticket was sold at a Publix on 630 Atlantic Blvd. in Neptune Beach, Florida, a city east of Jacksonville along the Atlantic coast.

According to the Mega Millions, this is the fourth time a jackpot-winning ticket has been sold in Florida. The two previous wins were shared with other states, most recently when a $502 million jackpot was shared with California in October 2022.

Who won the Mega Millions last night?

Along with the jackpot winner, five tickets matched the five white balls to win the $1 million second-tier prize. They were sold in California, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and two in Texas. A Megaplier ticket worth $2 million was sold in Florida and another in North Carolina.

Did anyone win Mega Millions in Delaware?

While not everyone could be a jackpot winner, there were a few tickets locally that won some cash.

Two tickets sold in Delaware were worth $10,000 each after matching four numbers and the Megaball.

When is the next Mega Millions drawing?

If you plan to stick it out for the long haul in hopes of cashing in big soon, the next drawing will be Friday, Aug. 11, at 11 p.m. ET.  

In Delaware, you can purchase tickets until 9:45 p.m. that day for a chance to win.

You can purchase tickets until 10:45 p.m. in New Jersey and 9:59 p.m. in Pennsylvania.

Drawings are every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

How to play the Mega Millions

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play.

There are nine total ways to win a prize, from the jackpot to $2.

Players can pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers: five different numbers from the white balls numbered 1-70 and one number from the gold balls numbered 1-25.

  • 5 + 1 = Jackpot.

  • 5 + 0 = $1 million.

  • 4 + 1 = $10,000.

  • 4 + 0 = $500.

  • 3 + 1 = $200.

  • 3 + 0 = $10.

  • 2 + 1= $10.

  • 1 + 1 = $4.

  • 0 + 1 = $2.

You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing.

You can either pick your lucky numbers yourself or select Easy Pick or Quick Pick and have the numbers auto-drawn. If you can't make up your mind, the Mega Millions website has a random number generator.

What is the Megaplier?

Most states offer the Megaplier feature, which increases non-jackpot prizes from two, three, four and five times.

It costs an additional $1 per play.

Before each regular Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier is drawn. From a pool of 15 balls, five are marked with "2X," three with "4X" and one with "5X."

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million, and the odds of winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 12.6 million.
