Who won the Vermont luxury Mad River Valley cabin, this year's HGTV Dream Home?

This year's HGTV Dream Home in Warren has an official owner.

HGTV recently announced that the winner of the Scandinavian-style Mad River Valley home was Karey Wolstenholm of Overland Park, Kansas. She was chosen from more than 142 million entries, which HGTV said was the highest in the sweepstakes' history.

The grand prize package, valued at $2.4 million, includes the fully furnished home, a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and $250,000 cash from Rocket Mortgage, according to HGTV's announcement.

Wolstenholm told HGTV that she entered every home giveaway for about the past 10 years, "and people laughed at me for it."

Wolstenholm's favorite things about the home?

"The outdoor space," she told HGTV, according to its announcement. "And the land it's on. The privacy and the Vermont setting — it's a package deal."
