Wondering how to cook a turkey? Ask a kindergartner

Lana Bell has taught kindergarten students at Richard Kane Elementary for 15 years, and she would not have it any other way.

“I really like the little ones. I like their curiosity; I like their excitement,” Bell said. “Everything is new for them. Anything you introduce them to they’re excited about.”

Last week, they spent time on some fun, Thanksgiving-themed art projects and they were asked something people around the world ponder this time of year … how best to cook a turkey.

Bell was happy to share some of their creative recipes with the E-E. Enjoy.

Abigail: Catch a turkey with a net. Put it in the oven for 50 minutes. Put season on it.

Ava: Put stuffing in it. Bake in the oven for 12 hours. Stuff with carrots.

Jane: Capture a turkey. Bake 10 minutes. Eat it.

Izayah: Buy a turkey. Grill turkey for 5 hours. Eat it.

Dax: Catch a turkey. Put it in the oven for 90 minutes. Let it cool.

Jason: Catch a turkey. Put in microwave for 13 hours. Eat it.

Brecklyn: Get the turkey in the fridge. Put season and SOS on it. Put in oven 11 minutes.

Aubrey: Capture a turkey. Bake for 70 hours. Set it on the table.
