Wood County inspections: One restaurant has 8 violations; six ace reports

The following are the latest results of Wood County Health Department inspections on licensed food establishments and other types of businesses, which the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune and Marshfield News-Herald report monthly.

Marshfield

  • Bakerville LLC, 10631 Wood County B: Dec. 1: Pre-inspection: One violation: Handwashing sink needed in back.

  • Subway No. 115, 1302 S. Central Ave.: Dec. 6: One violation: Non-food contact surfaces of stapler soiled.

  • Woodfield Lumberyard Bar and Grill, 1651 N. Central Ave.: Dec. 6: No violations.

Milladore

  • St. Wenceslaus, 146 Main St.: Dec. 6: No violations.

Nekoosa

  • United Church of Christ, 205 Market St.: Dec. 7: One violation: Registering thermometer not in dish machine.

Wisconsin Rapids

  • Branding Iron, 9721 S. State 13: Dec. 21: No violations.

  • Four Star Family Restaurant, 2911 Eighth St. S.: Dec. 19: Eight violations: Raw bacon and hamburger stored over ready-to-eat foods; sausage and ham in line cooler not at proper temperature (corrected during inspection); dish machine sanitizer not used according to directions (corrected during inspections); lids for flour bins cracked; flour, sugar and other seasonings stored in unlabeled containers; shelves in walk-in cooler are rusted and cardboard used on line shelves; cooks line microwave missing handle; floor tiles in walk-in cooler and dish area cracked.

  • Mid-State Technical College, 500 32nd St. N.: Dec. 12: No violations.

  • The Ridges, 2311 Griffith Ave.: Dec. 22: No violations.

  • Somewhere Else of Rapids, 3311 Plover Road: Dec. 20: No violations.

  • Subway West, 221 W. Riverview Expressway: Dec. 12: One violation: Spatula and scrubber in basin of hand sink (corrected during inspection).
