Woodbridge 356-unit luxury apartment complex nearing completion

WOODBRIDGE - The final phase of development of The Grande at Metropark got underway last week with a ceremony marking the mid-point of construction of the last building in the 356-unit luxury residential apartment complex in the Iselin section.

Mayor John E. McCormac and the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency were joined June 29 by The Grande at Metro Park Development Group for the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the halfway point of construction for the complexes Building 4 which will house 124 units.

“We are pleased to welcome The Grande at Metropark as an outstanding member of Woodbridge Township’s luxury apartment community," McCormac said. “The Grande at Metropark represents one of the first residential development projects to locate in Woodbridge Township in decades when they broke ground on August 18, 2017. It is important to note that The Grande at Metropark Development Group reviewed many location options to site their central New Jersey residential community and finally located at the former Ronson site in Woodbridge Township."

McCormac was joined at the final phase of construction by Charles Avery, chief executive office of The Grande atMetropark; Irwin Nudelman, The Grande at Metropark director of construction; Kurt Vierheilig, director of design from DMR Architects; Caroline Ehrlich, Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency executive director; Marta Lefsky, Woodbridge director of the Woodbridge Department of Planning & Development; Heather Lamotta, Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency deputy director and Woodbridge First Ward Councilwoman Sharon McAuliffe.

The Grande at Metropark is a four building luxury residential apartment complex near the Metro Park Train Station. Each building has amenities including a covered parking deck; package delivery lockers and rentable storage units, according to Avery.

The buildings also have an interior rooftop courtyard with an outdoor movie theater; a two-story clubhouse; fitness center; music room; game area and children’s play area; pet wash stations; bike room; coffee lounge; conference and meeting rooms and business center, he added.

Other onsite amenities include a grill, patio and pergola area, pet parks, community surveillance system, tot lot and electric car charging station. The project includes more than 12,000 square feet of retail space offering tenants and shoppers upscale markets, salons and services, according to Avery.
