Woodland Park elementary schools get 3D printers

(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — Woodland Park School District (WPSD) announced it has acquired 3D printers for three elementary schools in the district, giving students hands-on experience with the technology.

The 3D printers were acquired for Columbine Elementary, Gateway Elementary, and Summit Elementary. WPSD said getting the printers will provide students with hands-on experience that aligns with the ever-changing demands of the 21st-century workforce.

The new printers will allow students to create intricate and detailed 3D objects, allow teachers to integrate the printers into various subjects, and boost creativity by allowing students to bring their creativity to life with physical models, according to WPSD.

Superintendent Witt is enthusiastic about the printers saying “We are thrilled to provide our students with access to this type of technology. These 3D printers will open new avenues for creativity and learning, empowering our students to excel in an increasingly technology-driven world.”
