Woodland Park Zoo announces lineup for 39th annual ZooTunes

Woodland Park Zoo is welcoming guests back to the meadow this summer for the 39th annual ZooTunes, it said in a media release on Monday.

ZooTunes is the zoo’s main fundraising event with proceeds supporting the zoo’s animal care, wildlife conservation programs, and education programs.

“This year features a legendary lineup of musical icons including Indigo Girls with Neko Case, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Tegan and Sara, Japanese Breakfast, Patti Smith, and more,” the zoo said.

ZooTunes released the full lineup:

  • June 28 & 29 - Indigo Girls / Neko Case

  • July 5 - Jason Isbell and the 400 unit with Deer Tick

  • July 6 - Nickel Creek

  • July 17 - The Dead South with Corb Lund

  • July 23 - Blues Traveler / Big Head Todd and The Monsters

  • August 8 - The Mountain Goats with Blitzen Trapper

  • August 10 - Father John Misty

  • August 16 - Patti Smith

  • August 17 - Tegan and Sara

  • August 20 - Japanese Breakfast with Built To Spill

  • August 23 - The Flaming Lips performing “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots”

Concert tickets go on sale on March 3 at 10 a.m. and will be available online only and do not include admission to the zoo. Concert tickets will not be sold at the zoo gates.

ZooTunes will be outdoors at Woodland Park Zoo’s North Meadow. Concertgoers can enter through the West Entrance at Phinney Avenue North between North 55th and North 56th Street.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and concerts start at 6 p.m. Tickets will have the concert’s exact start times. Concerts will go on rain or shine and there will be no refunds or exchanges, the zoo said.

Children three years of age and older will require their own full-priced ticket. Children two years and younger are free provided they sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.
