Woodlawn UMC offering “Ashes to Go”

AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Ash Wednesday. For Christians it marks the beginning of the Lenten season.

And once again a local church and other faith groups will hold an event called “ashes to go”.
It’s coming up on February 14 at the Augusta Common.

Thursday, Rev. Bernard Mason from Woodlawn United Methodist Church appeared on NewsChannel 6 at Noon with Mary Morrison.

He invited the community to attend the event from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

It is the third year for the event.
