Senior Abi Decker, junior Maegan Rose and senior Maddi Najeway secured wins in singles matches Wednesday to lead Woodridge (4-0, 1-0 MAC).

Norton 5, Coventry 0The Panthers (2-1, 1-0) earned a sweep with singles players Katarina Jovanovic, Addie Kropp and Corissa Thomas leading the way. Norton’s doubles winners were Faith Brunty and Olivia Gray and Paris Silverstein and Addison Vickery.

The Vikings rolled to a victory and a 7-0 start to the season. Tess Bucher, Claire Wood and Angelina Koinoglou won singles matches.

BOYS SOCCER

St. Vincent-St. Mary 12, Lagrange Keystone 0

Diego Pinto scored five goals to lead the host Irish to a season-opening win. Christian Kesler and Hti Bay netted two goals apiece. Pinto, Kesler and Bay each had one assist.

BOYS GOLF

Second Suburban League Tournament

Kent Roosevelt finished first in the American Conference and Wadsworth placed first in the National Conference at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.

Wadsworth and Hudson each finished with a score of 312 in the SLNC tournament. The Grizzlies topped the Explorers by winning the fifth scorecard tiebreaker.

Stow (313), North Royalton (325) and Nordonia (329) rounded out the top five in the SLNC tournament.

Hudson’s Sam Fauver carded an even par 72 to earn the medalist honor in the SLNC tournament. Stow’s Ben Skripac took second with a 73. Nordonia’s Mason Reville, North Royalton’s Aryan Ahlawat and Stow’s Mitchell Tyger tied for third with 75s.

Kent Roosevelt finished with a score of 315, Aurora was second at 319 and Highland took third at 323 in the SLAC tournament.

Roosevelt’s Liam Curtis and Aurora’s Max Devins were co-medalists in the SLAC tournament with 73s. Aurora’s Jude Abbass shot a 76 and Roosevelt’s Christian Mineo and Gavin Leslie shot a 77 and a 78, respectively.
