Woodworth honored by MPHS

Ella Woodworth, daughter of Brian and Lucy Woodworth of Chestnut, has been named January-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

During her time at MPHS she has participated in four years of football cheer, two years of basketball cheer, and four years of art club. She also has been dancing for 14 years.

Woodworth has earned recognition on the High Honor Roll also during her four years of high school.

Outside of school she volunteers with The Turning Point, a nonprofit organization in Decatur.

Woodworth plans to attend the University of Illinois at Springfield and major in Clinical/Laboratory Science.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by INB.
