Wooster Christian School celebrated its first graduating class, with the class of 2023.

Wooster Christian School was founded in 1987 and initially operated out of Grace Church in Wooster. In 2017, WCS moved to Church of the Saviour and continues to function on that campus.

WCS formerly offered classes preschool to eighth grade. However, after years of consideration, the school decided to offer grades 9-12 and begin a high school, according to a news release.

The high school began in the fall of 2021. The class of 2023’s graduation is a huge milestone for the school.

The class is composed of two young women − Sadie Hinkle and Capri Sohar. Hinkle is valedictorian of the class, and is considering Wayne College for the fall, among other options.

Sohar, the salutatorian, will attend Akron Barber College.
