Wooster/Orrville NAACP accepting scholarship applications

Wooster/Orrville NAACP is accepting applications for its NAACP Scholarship Program.

The Scholarship is available to Wayne County residents who are graduating seniors in a Wayne County public school, of African-American descent and accepted or enrolling in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical education institution. Financial need and demonstration of leadership qualities will be factors in the awarding process.

The deadline for applications is March 15. The online scholarship application and instructions for applying can be found on the Wayne County Community Foundation website.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 1 and funds will be distributed after July 1.
