WORCESTER — Three men have been arrested in connection with the shootings at a Webster Street warehouse Saturday morning.

Six people were injured in the gunfire traced to 88 Webster St.

Patriky Sampaio Gomes, 21, of Euclid Ave, Worcester; and Carlos Junio Alves-Silva, 20, and Luis Fernando Alves-Silva,18, both of Fall River, have been charged in the case, Worcester police said Thursday.

The three men were all charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, assault with a dangerous weapon, firing a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and possession of ammunition without a FID card.

Sampaio Gomes was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A witness told police that the three defendants pointed a firearm in the direction of several "named and identified people and discharged the firearm in the direction of other people," according to Lt. Ryan Stone's report.

A "named and identified" victim identified Sampaio Gomes as the person who shot him, according to Stone's documents.

At an arraignment later Thursday with Judge James G. Haddad in Central District Court, Sampaio Gomes counsel Sean M. McGinty stated that his client denies any participation in the shootout.

He added that the two Alves-Silva, whom he identified as brothers, had threatened to kill him through text prior to him arriving at the Webster Street address.

McGinty also stated that the texts were provided to the police by Sampaio Gomes's girlfriend, who had also arrived at the location in the same car prior to the shooting.

Once the Alves-Silvas had started shooting, McGinty said, his client had fled the scene and did not fired any weapons.

McGinty also added that police had not found any weapons or ammunition at the time of the arrest.

He did not provide any information on the motives for the threats or the shooting.

At his arraignment, Sampaio Gomes said through his counsel that he "is friends with Eric," whom they identified as one of the victims who "was shot in the head."

Sampaio Gomes is due to appear in court on Thursday for a dangerousness hearing and will be held without bail until then.

Luis Alves-Silva was apprehended in Danbury, Connecticut, while Sampaio Gomes and Carlos Junio Alves-Silva were arrested in Worcester. Warrants were issued Thursday.

Carlos Alves-Silva is due for arraignment Friday morning.

The victims were apparently shot early Saturday morning in and around a Webster Street warehouse, according to police.

Authorities have not detailed the extent of injuries.

Police officers converged on the building shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, to check out a report of a male shooting victim. They soon learned there were more victims.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Webster Street warehouse is a subdivided address, home to multiple small businesses.

According to a nearby merchant, the building is used as practice space for area bands.
