Worker killed in morning car accident
PATERSON- An employee of a sanitation company was killed on Saturday morning, the Passaic County Prosecutor's office said.
Walter Mercado McWhorter, 66, was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened just before 9 a.m. on Fulton Street.
"No charges have been filed at this time, however the investigation remains active and ongoing," said the Passaic County Prosecutor's office.
