Workers at Baltimore Apple Store Vote to Become First to Unionize
Workers at an Apple store in a suburb of Baltimore became the first to unionize after a vote on June 18.
Over 100 employees voted to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) on Saturday. IAM International and the organized employees had written a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook in May, informing him of the decision to organize their union, a press release from the IAM said.
The employees had organized as the Coalition of Organized Retail Employees.
