Workshop on stream and wetland permitting is Feb. 16

DOVER – The Tuscarawas County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold a workshop on stream and wetland permittin from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 at the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St.

If you are planning a project that will result in the discharge of dredge or fill material into a lake, stream, and/or wetland, you may need a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Ohio EPA. Rachel Taulbee of the Ohio EPA Southeast District office will discuss requirements to obtain a permit for your upcoming project. Also presenting will be Lee Finley, speaking on considerations when filling or building in a regulatory flood plain.
