WorkSource lunch and learn event for employers set for May 3

Apr. 22—LA GRANDE — WorkSource Oregon and their partner, Eastern Oregon Workforce Board, are hosting an employer lunch and learn event next month. The La Grande gathering of employers will take place at the Armory on 12th Street on Wednesday, May 3, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

According to WorkSource Business Services Representative Jeremy Robertson, the event is for employers and not geared toward the general public.

Employers who attend the event will hear from presenters giving short speeches. Presenters will be available for about two hours after the presentations, also.

Among the list of presenters are Chris Cox on payroll and withholding, Eastern Oregon WorkForce Board on workforce challenges and Jerry Flores on veteran employment.

"The whole point is to have presenters from state agencies and resources so that employers can learn about the services and resources available to them," Robertson said.
