The nearly 13 million viewers who watched the match on Fox made up the second-largest single-network audience of the World Cup, Sports Media Watch reports. Only the Nov. 25 match between the USMNT and England beat it, with 15.38 million viewers.

Around 3.6 million viewers watched Saturday's game on Telemundo/Peacock, making the total viewership about 16.6 million, according to Washington Post soccer reporter Steven Goff.

The USMNT lost to the Netherlands 3-1, ending its run in this current World Cup.

"We set out with a goal to show the rest of the world how we can play soccer," team manager Gregg Berhalter said, per ESPN. "I think we partially achieved that, even though we fell short of our goals."
