When you have a massive craving for a Snickers bar, you can pick up the king-sized version and feel like a boss. But apparently that size is puny, because Mars just unveiled the world’s largest Snickers bar and, dang, it’s big.

The bar clocks in at more than 4,700 pounds. It’s also two feet high and 26 inches wide, according to Fox 44, making it the size of more than 41,000 single size Snickers bars put together. Basically, it’s the bar of your Snickers-loving dreams and then some.

Naturally, the Guinness Book of World Records was involved. "This is incredibly impressive," Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Empric said: "Some of my favorite record categories are big food because it has to be edible and it is also an engineering feat, so to get a 5,000 pound bar of chocolate to stay together is really challenging."

The mega-bar was created at the Mars Wrigley plant in Waco, TX, and apparently it’s a tease for a Snickers commercial that will air during the Super Bowl.

The bar took a week to make, and the idea for it only came about two weeks ago. "This bar that we made in the last week absolutely is the (sum) of, I think, what you could call, 'Everything is bigger in Texas.' Because it's the biggest Snickers bar ever made," Snickers value manager Ruud Engbers said. "It's the largest chocolate nut bar ever made in the world."

So…what’s happening to that bar? Asking for a friend, of course. Apparently it’s going to be chopped up and pieces will be distributed to Mars workers around the country. Just like the crown at the end of Mean Girls...
