World's oldest man dies at the age of 113

The world’s oldest man, Masazo Nonaka, has passed away at the age of 113 in his home in northern Japan.

Nonaka was born on July 25th, 1905, and claimed the title for the world’s oldest man in April 2018. He credited his longevity to soaking in hot springs and eating sweets.

Masazo Nonaka lived through two World Wars, and was born two years before the Wright brothers took their first flight. He was 48 when Queen Elizabeth II was crowned, and witnessed the birth of the mobile phone and the World Wide Web.
