How worried should we be about recent flat games by Celtics’ Jayson Tatum?

How worried should we be about recent flat games by star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum? The Boston star has been playing heavy minutes and has not looked so sharp of late. In a recent loss against the Phoenix Suns in particular, the St. Louis native went 3-of-15 from the field on the way to a 106-94 loss to Phoenix in one of his worst games in terms of efficiency in recent memory.

To be fair, this is not the only night the Duke alum has been ice-cold from the field, but the ostensible 2023 Most Valuable Player candidate did little besides hoist treys before the contest’s final frame when the momentum for a comeback had already fizzled.

Should we be concerned about Tatum’s play of late? Does he just need to get more rest? Or is it more a matter of it being the doldrums, with the handwringing being a bit overwrought?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast recently dove into Tatum’s recent spate of mediocre play to see what they think of it.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
