Wreaths Across America honors veterans at cemeteries in Ottawa County, nationally

GENOA - The color guard from American Legion Post 324 in Genoa participated in the Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, at Clay Township Cemetary. Military servicemen and volunteers placed wreaths on moe than 2,000 veterans' graves across Ottawa County.

The Black Swamp Pipes and Drums played "Amazing Grace" at the Genoa ceremony.

Locally, ceremonies were held in both the Clay Township Cemetery in Genoa and the Sackett Cemetery in Marblehead on Saturday.

National Wreaths Across America Day was on Saturday, with more than 1,500 participating locations across the country and some overseas..
