Wreckage Removed From Site of Mexico City Metro Overpass Collapse

Work was continuing on May 4 in Mexico City to remove wreckage from the scene of a collapsed metro overpass.

Video by the Coordinacion Nacional de Proteccion Civil (CNPC) shows carriages being removed from the scene, where 23 people were killed the previous day.

The CNPC said they used two large cranes to remove the wrecked cars, allowing them to inspect the structure.

Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said there would be a full investigation into the cause of the collapse and declared three days of mourning. Credit: CNPC via Storyful
