WrestleMania 40 at The Linc in Philadelphia nears sellout. Here's how to to buy tickets.

Tickets to WrestleMania 40 — World Wrestling Entertainment's annual wrestling extravaganza that settles in-ring beefs that have built up over the ensuing year and establishes new storylines and possibly creates new champions — are going fast, and wrestling fans better snap up remaining tickets while they can.

WrestleMania 40, which takes place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, sold more than 90,000 tickets on launch day.

According to the WWE, WrestleMania 40 broke the company’s all-time gate record in one day.

The previous total gross record — $21.6 million — was set earlier this year at WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The demand to see matches featuring current champions such as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, WWE Women's Champion Iyo Sky and WWE Woman's World Champion Rhea Ripley is high — and so are the ticket prices.

WrestleMania 40 ticket prices on secondary markets

The WWE notes there are extremely limited tickets to WrestleMania 40 still available online through Ticketmaster.

A check of Ticketmaster shows that the least expensive, two-day combo ticket is $696.

The cheapest rafter seat (with an obstructed view) for WrestleMania 40 matches on Saturday, April 6 is $189.

Likewise, the cheapest ticket to WrestleMania 40 matches on Sunday, April 7, is $220. Those seats also are advertised as having limited views.

On the other end of the spectrum and for WWE fans with deeper pockets, the most expensive two-day combo ticket to WrestleMania 40 is $10,000.

For ten grand, wrestling fans will be seated in the section closest to the ring.

Those same tickets cost $2,500 for one-day admittance.

There are a few options wrestling fans can consider secondary markets outside of Ticketmaster.

SeatGeek has WrestleMania 40 two-day combo passes starting at $551, and single tickets starting at $168.

StubHub has WrestleMania 40 two-day combo passes starting at $610, and is currently advertising single-day tickets for $177.

WrestleMania 40 first in Philadelphia since WrestleMania XV

WWE is bringing its marquee event back to Philadelphia for the first time since WrestleMania XV, when the company was known as the World Wrestling Federation — WWF.

WrestleMania XV was held on March 28, 1999, at Wells Fargo Center, which was named the First Union Center at the time.

The main event matches for WrestleMania XV were the "Hell in a Cell" match between Big Boss Man and the Undertaker; a no-disqualification match between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship; Shane McMahon vs. X-Pac for the WWF European Championship; and Kane vs. Triple H in a hardcore singles match, that featured Mankind as the guest referee.
