Wrestler Hulk Hogan proposes to girlfriend at St. Petersburg wedding

Hulk Hogan, one of the Tampa Bay area’s most famous residents, announced his engagement this week. And it took place at the St. Petersburg wedding of his fiance’s best friend.

The pro wrestling icon announced on social media he got engaged last weekend, with Hogan popping the question at the Canopy rooftop on top of the Birchwood Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg.

It was the wedding of actor Corin Nemec (best known for “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose” and “Stargate”) and local Sabrina Nova, who he met when doing a film here and ended up moving here.

Sky Daily, 45, a yoga instructor, and Hogan started dating early last year, shortly after his divorce from his second wife, Jennifer McDaniel. He and McDaniel married in 2010 after Hogan split from his first wife, Linda Hogan.

In a video Daily posted to Instagram, Hogan, a Tampa native born Terry Bollea, was giving a speech at a wedding reception at the Birchwood for Daily’s friends and recounted how he and Daily met. Hogan said he sent a drink over to a group of women and when one of her friends approached to thank him, he joked, “Who’s the blonde?”

He finished the tale of their meeting and ended with the day’s news.

“I asked Sky to marry me, and she was crazy enough to say yes, brother.”
