Pro wrestling fans packed the House of Insanity, the Robert A. Hutchinson FOP Hall at 1051 Strasburg Road, May 4, to celebrate IWR-20 Cinco de Mayhem.

The standing-room-only crowd was treated to four special VIP-only matches, nine matches total, with all three IWR titles being defended.

VIP-only action started with The Perminator Sam Beale with his bodyguard OX taking on IWR newcomer KJ Reynolds. Reynolds was impressive against the IWR veteran Beale but ultimately succumbed and lost via pinfall.

Next up was Big Bry Sullivan with his manager, 24 Karat Lion Jeremiah Goldmain, taking on first-time IWR competitor Sway Archer. Bry made fairly quick work of Sway even after the bell before former and first IWR World Heavyweight Champion Big Kon’s music dropped to the deafening roar of the crowd. Kon disposed of Bry and Sway, including security who tried to intervene. Kon then addressed the crowd, thanking them for their support and announcing how great it was to be back in Monroe.

In the third VIP match, The Anti-Ikon Nikki Ratu picked up a win over Grimey Zach Thomas. In the VIP main event, Impact superstar and leader of The Design Deaner challenged former IWR World Heavyweight Champion The Dread King Logan. Logan won the match and the two superstars shook hands.

During intermission, the fans were treated to the second installment of Benjamin Boone’s The Bachelor Pad talk show with special guest Miss Canada Kelly Moore.

A triple threat United States Title Match between Champion Rich Swann and challengers former U.S. champ Top Notch Jason Hotch and Impact Tag Champ and Bullet Club's Ace Austin started the main card. The three high-flying superstars brought all they had to win the IWR United States Title. In the end, Bullet Club’s Ace Austin captured another belt winning the IWR United States Championship. Austin celebrated in the ring to the ovation of fans before heading back to the locker room.

Next was Impact Wrestling’s Mean Gia going up against IWR rookie Dani Jacx with fan favorite Mean Gia picking up the win. After the match, Gia addressed the crowd to thank them but was interrupted by Buckeye Sam and his trainer Dutch. The two had a verbal spat in the ring that led to Gia challenging Sam to a match next month at IWR-21.

IWR World Tag Champs Trey Miguel and Myron Reed, aka The Rascalz, successfully defended their titles against Death Threat Army's Tommy Vendetta and Aaron Orion in a hard-fought battle.

After the second intermission, fans were treated to Monroe’s own Man Beast Rhino and The DBA going up against The Canadian World Order’s Eh Team Special Forces with their manager John E. Bravo. The excitement was short lived when the Canadian referee, by authority of Canada’s Professional Wrestling Commission, presented paperwork suspending Rhino for three months. IWR Commissioner Gary J. Pillette came to the ring to review the papers and determined they were legit and escorted Rhino to the back. Commissioner Pillette will present the papers to the IWR legal team to look over. Rhino, upset by the CWO’s move, vowed when he returns he is coming after the CWO’s top man and current IWR World Heavyweight Champion King Thomas Latimer.

In place of Rhino, John E. Bravo pre-selected another partner for The DBA, The Big Bad Wolf Ace Evans. Within minutes, Evans turned on The DBA and joined The Eh Team in beating him down.

In the night’s main event, NWA and IWR World Heavyweight Champion King Thomas Latimer, with his manager John E. Bravo in his corner, faced one of IWR's most imposing and beloved superstars, Madman Fulton. The Insane Rules match included weapons, tables and chairs. The duo battled throughout the House of Insanity. The Eh Team Special Forces and others from the IWR locker room interfered including Miss Canada, who came out to give a stunner to Canadian referee Avery Hughes. It looked as if Fulton was going to win until Shogun Jackson Stone came to the ring and speared Fulton through a table, allowing Latimer to retain the IWR World Heavyweight title. After the match, Big Kon entered the ring and challenged King Latimer for the title at IWR-21.

Insane Wrestling Revolution returns to Monroe June 15 with IWR-21 Ascension. Tickets are available at www.purplepass.com/IWR21
