Wrestling: Final results from the 2023 Passaic County Tournament
Clifton captured the Passaic County wrestling title for the first time since earning four in a row from 1983-1986 on Saturday at West Milford High School.
The Mustangs had three individual champions to finish with 159 team points, outdistancing runner-up Lakeland (139.5) and defending champions and third place Passaic County Tech (125). West Milford (114.5) and Passaic Valley (107), finished in fourth and fifth-place, respectively.
Four wrestlers from four different schools repeated as champions. West Milford's Ben Marchetto (113 pounds), Lakeland's Ryan Langenmayr (126 pounds), Passaic County Tech's James Conklin (144 pounds) and Clifton's Joe Abill (215 pounds), all claimed gold.
