Wrestling roundup: BBE goes 2-1 at Minneota quadrangular

Jan. 27—MINNEOTA — Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa clinched a 33-30 win over Minneota in a battle of Section 5A favorites on Friday to wrap up the Minneota quadrangular.

The Jaguars rank eighth in Class A while the Vikings are sixth.

BBE competes in the Hutchinson quadrangular at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

With Canby jumping out to a 23-0 lead through four matches, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa wasn't able to climb out of that hole as the Lancers got the win in Minneota.

Canby is ranked 12th in the Class A poll.

Maximus Hanson (182), Talen Kampsen (195) and Ethan Spanier (220) all won by fall for the Jaguars.
