Wrestling: Section 1 announces 2023 postseason accolades, award winners

After an action-packed New York State high school wrestling season, Section 1 got to honor its local wrestlers and announce major individual award winners for the 2022-23 season.

All accolades and recipients were selected by coaches within the section, with no input from The Journal News/lohud.com or the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Presented to a senior who exemplifies the meaning of student-athlete. A wrestler who has made an impact not only on the mat, but in the classroom and their community.

Presented to a varsity wrestler who, during the season, exemplifies the ability to fight back against any adversity.
