WSDOT tells drivers the best, worst times to hit the road during holiday weekend

As travel is expected to return to near pre-COVID 19 pandemic levels during the Fourth of July Weekend, the Washington State Department of Transportation is sharing tools to help drivers decide when they should hit the road in the coming days.

The agency posted travel charts to its website which allow drivers to see when certain highways will see the most traffic from Thursday, June 28 through Tuesday, July 5.

WSDOT is also reminding drivers that Revive I-5 work is taking place in Seattle once again this weekend.

Starting Friday at 9:30 p.m. through Monday at 6:30 a.m., multiple lanes of southbound I-5 will be reduced between the I-90 off-ramp and South Holgate Street.

Both the westbound and eastbound I-90 off-ramps to southbound I-5 will be closed as well.
