It's beginning to look a lot like football season.

The West Texas A&M football team began preseason football camp Monday afternoon. Practices this week begin each day at 2:30 p.m. before moving to the morning starting next week.

The 2021 Buffs finished 7-4 overall and 5-2 in the Lone Star Conference. After a rough start to the season, they rallied in the second half of the year, including a three-game winning streak to close the year.

The Buffs were picked to finish fourth in the LSC in the preseason polls while sophomore linebacker JT Cavender was named LSC Defensive Player of the Year.
