WVDEP Make It Shine Spring Cleanup 2024 applications now being accepted

CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — The 2024 West Virginia Make It Shine Statewide Spring Cleanup is now accepting applications.

This event is sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s (WVDEP) Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan (REAP) Program. This event will be held April 1, 2024 to April 14, 2024. Applications must be in by Friday, March 8, 2024.

This event will also be providing resources such as tools used for cleaning and getting rid of waste and debris. In 2023, more than 3,500 volunteers from close to 140 groups participated in the event and were able to remove 215 tons of trash, along with other large amounts of waste and debris.
