WVDOH gets paving contract for Interstate 77

CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — A pavement contract for a five-mile section of Interstate 77 was obtained by the West Virginia Division of Highways.

Operation R.I.P. Potholes announced by the WVDOH and Gov. Justice

This contract will fix the five-mile section between Fairplan and Ripley Road. This project is among 31 projects that will currently be worked on.

Projects awarded from these bid lettings include:

  • West Virginia Paving Inc. with a bid of $35,985,716.10. (Jackson County)

  • Elite Industrial Painting Inc. was the low bidder on a project to clean and paint the Fitzpatrick Road Bridge, with a bid of $875,773.40. (Raleigh County)

  • Elite Industrial Painting Inc. with a bid of $774,421.00. (Putnam County)

  • Marks Drilling with a bid of $324,294.50. (Braxton County)

  • Phoenix Excavating with a bid of $67,851.50. (Ohio County)

  • Catts Construction Inc. with a bid of $658,069.75. (Wayne County)

  • Triton Construction Inc. with a bid of $512,183.00. (Jefferson County)

  • Kelly Paving Inc. with a bid of $2,294,996.01. (Marshall and Ohio counties)

  • Phoenix Excavating LLC was the low bidder on a project to replace the Beartown Bridge, with a bid of $1,257,001.29. (McDowell County)

  • Highway Safety Inc. with a bid of $2,585,550. (Cabell, Lincoln, Logan, and Mingo counties)

  • Wolfes Excavating LLC with a bid of $2,585,550. (Wetzel County)

  • Specialty Groups Inc. with a bid of $592,494.92. (Brooke County)
