Meanwhile, Women's Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley has opted to face her old foe Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

That doesn't mean that WWE Elimination Chamber won't have a knock-on effect on WrestleMania, as well as serious stakes all of its own.

For many, this should be the main event of WrestleMania.

Sure, Cody Rhodes's rise to the top is more than his year since his last Mania comeback (with all the months on the shelf after THAT gnarly peck injury).

In truth, Cody's rise to the main event of WrestleMania is a story that began when he first left WWE, or maybe when he became Stardust.

All the same, in recent months this bubbling story has dominated the WWE. It's been the joker in the hand of the Bloodline that's made it ever so special.

Things came to a head with a steel chair to the back (as these things are wont to do) at Royal Rumble, and now both the Head of the Table and one-time Honorary Uce go head to head.

In theory it's a one-on-one slugfest for the title. On those terms we'd probably just edge it for Roman.

In practice, we imagine the loyalty of both Usos will be crucial, and here we think fear will outweigh hope... RR to retain with a helping hand or four.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns

WWE United States Championship: Austin Theory (c) vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins vs. Johnny Gargano vs Bronson Reed vs Damian Priest vs Montez Ford [Elimination Chamber Match]

Is it a bit of an anticlimax to have the "just" the US title up for grabs in the Chamber, rather than the big one or a shot at the big one?

Maybe a smidge... but if you want these "secondary" titles elevated then you need to give them a serious stage, and that means special matches like this.

Austin Theory's champion's advantage is out the window in this type of match, and with the wildcard factor of who gets out their pods when, this is as tricky as they come to predict.

That said, we're going to stick our necks out and suggest that wiley Seth Rollins will be looking to win this one when Logan Paul will make his presence felt, denying him the victory, handing it to Damian Priest, and setting up a 1vs1 with the ex-Shield man at Mania.

PREDICTION: Damian Priest

Women's Elimination Chamber Match: Asuka vs Liv Morgan vs Nikki Cross vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Natalya vs Carmella [Winner faces Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 for the WWE Raw Women's Championship]

Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair is a lock for Mania, and Bianca will be watching this to find out who her dance partner is on the grandest stage of them all.

It's a mix of top quality former champs, occasional pretenders and new hopefuls.

After her tremendous showing, Raquel Rodriguez will more than fancy her chances, while Natalya and Carmella will think that their veteran status has earned them a shot all on its own.

Despite all that, and despite the unpredictability of Nikki Cross, we're opting for the recently-returned Asuka.

She looked serious business at the Rumble, and with some green mist to help her along the way, she has the edge.

PREDICTION: Asuka

Edge and Beth Phoenix vs The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley) [Mixed Tag Match]

WWE

This tag match has quality stamped all the way through it.

Edge and Beth Phoenix have plenty of experience, certainly, but Finn Balor is a vet across continents too.

There's plenty of personal animosity across the ring here which will make this one especially juicy, while we're pretty sure that Mixed Tag Rules will be stretched to breaking point when Rhea Ripley is in the ring.

It's Rhea who we think will be the difference maker here.

Sure, she'll have half an eye on WrestleMania, but that just means she'll want to gain some momentum going into her battle with Charlotte Flair.

Her sheer strength and Finn's experience will combine to put away the old timers... for now.

PREDICTION: The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley)

Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar

Both these men will surely be thinking they should be in the main event, but it hasn't shaken out like that.

Nonetheless, with just pride and bragging rights, this is shaping up to be one of the better matches between these two men.

Sure, they're both longer in the tooth, but that world-weariness adds a bit of depth to all the BEEF, and it's really nicely poised going into this.

Despite Lashley being one of the few men to often get the better of The Beast Incarnate, we're betting on Brock putting this one conclusively to bed.

Brock to push on to fight for a big title after this, and Bobby to return to the well of The Hurt Business to rebuild.

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar
