WWE’s Karrion Kross quickly made a mark to gain an NXT title shot at NXT TakeOver: XXX
Karrion Kross was there.
He witnessed firsthand that historic Rock vs. Hogan match at WrestleMania 18 from the Skydome in Toronto.
A lifelong fan, he is now on the other side of the pendulum, where on Saturday he can excite fans and make history of his own in a must-see battle for the NXT title against the real deal champ Keith Lee.
It’s NXT TakeOver: 30 on WWE Network from Full Sail Live at Full Sail University in Winter Park, near Orlando.
NXT TakeOver: 30 is a big part of a big WWE SummerSlam Weekend, and Kross is big time, ready to take over NXT.
Accompanied by the multitalented Scarlett, his real-life significant other, they make a great duo inside and outside the ring.
With Scarlett ringside, Kross says NXT TakeOver: 30 against Lee for the championship is the biggest match of his career (so far).
Of course, he wants the win, the black and gold, but no matter the outcome, Kross is living the dream, a WWE dream, since his youth.
A fan of Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior, he attended shows in Canada and New York.

Kross is not only an interesting NXT Superstar, but he is also an interesting person.
And fans and company hierarchy are interested in him.
Proof. It has been about five months since debuting on NXT TV, and Kross already gained an opportunity at the NXT title on a huge stage, i.e. NXT TakeOver: 30.
Even with his quick rise in NXT Kross earned his spot by competing, honing his skills and talent since 2014. He wrestled on the indies for Future Stars of Wrestling and others, in Mexico for established AAA and with more upper-level companies, like Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground, Global Force Wrestling and Major League Wrestling.
Kross, 35, is originally from New York, attending WWE shows at Madison Square Garden. Later moving to Canada, he did not play sports in high school. Instead, he gravitated toward MMA.
Kross, the NXT Superstar, resembles an MMA fighter in the ring. Tough, tattooed, intense, menacing, no-nonsense and void of fear, which epitomizes that ruthless aggression sought by WWE.
As an adult, the well-traveled intellect took residency in Las Vegas with the intent to become a professional wrestler, something he longed to pursue. Trained by Glenn Gilbertti (aka Disco Inferno), that long-awaited journey began, and it has been some ride since.
