Great news, wrestling fans: The Nature Boy is back home and doing well.
Legendary wrestler Ric Flair was released from the hospital on Wednesday, six days after he was initially admitted. TMZ posted pictures of Flair leaving the hospital in a wheelchair while accompanied by his wife, but Flair soon confirmed it all himself on his various social media channels.

“I Will Be Back Up And WOOOOOing In No Time!” Ric Flair, you are a treasure.
Why Flair was admitted to the hospital is still a mystery. It was initially reported to be a medical emergency, but Flair’s son-in-law Conrad Thompson downplayed that, tweeting that he went to the hospital to undergo a previously scheduled procedure. Flair’s wife, Wendy Barlow, confirmed to People that he would be undergoing a procedure on Thursday, which was then changed to Monday due to undisclosed “complications.”
Flair’s surgery on Monday was successful, but no one knows what the surgery was for. The New York Post reported that Flair underwent a procedure “related to recent heart issues,” but Barlow has not revealed the nature of the surgery or the complications, and neither has Flair.
Regardless of what surgery or why, Flair is back home and is expected to make a full recovery. He had to pull out of a celebrity roast in his honor that was scheduled for this weekend, but that’s a small price to pay to keep the one and only Ric Flair with us for as long as possible.
