In September 2022, WWE returned to the UK for Clash at the Castle in Cardiff – its first "proper" pay-per-view here in three decades (no, we're not counting 2002's Insurrextion).

It was a massive success, so we felt sure it'd be a much shorter wait for their next comeback.

Well, they've certainly not disappointed, with WWE Money in the Bank 2023 booked for The O2 in London, England as the immediate follow up to Saudi Arabia's Night of Champions.

That's right. Not just a "proper" PPV. Not just a major name PPV. But one of the "Big 5" and an event that will necessarily have a massive impact on the next year in the WWE.

There'll be a Women's and Men's ladder match for an all-important briefcase holding that MITB contract, giving the winner a guaranteed world title match at the time of their choosing.

And we're also expecting Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to drop by, and much more besides.

WWE Money in the Bank 2023 takes place at The O2 in London, England on Saturday, July 1, 2023 with a start time of 8pm in the UK (3pm ET/12pm PT)

A one hour kick-off show would start at 7pm (2pm ET/11am PT).

What's the full match card and predictions for WWE Money in the Bank 2023?

Women's Ladder Match for a Money in the Bank briefcase: Zelina Vega vs Becky Lynch vs Zoey Stark vs Bayley vs Iyo Sky vs Trish Stratus

WWE

Unless the men's match (see below), this isn't just a bout packed full of talent... there are some serious former champions and interweaving storylines that threaten to make this the match of the night.

Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus 2023 being in the same ladder match would be enough, frankly, but when you chuck in the likes of Zelina Vega and Zoey Stark who are looking to make a big statement, or Iyo Sky who seems on the verge of greatness, things go up a notch.

But we're going to go for Bayley, who has been excellent since her big return from injury and turn to the dark side without quite pushing to the level she was at before her time on the shelf.

With Iyo likely to give her a helping hand (though also considering her own run at glory, which could be interesting), she'll have the edge on the others, who'll likely cancel each other out.

PREDICTION: Bayley

Men's Ladder Match for a Money in the Bank briefcase: Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs LA Knight vs Santos Escobar vs Butch vs Damian Priest vs Logan Paul

WWE

Okay, we'll say it. Despite the incredible amount of talent in this match, it all seems a little underpowered compared to past MITB matches, no?

Well, it did until Logan Paul got added late in the day. Yeah, he's not exactly a veteran or former champ, but he's got both the star power AND a serious amount of raw, unfiltered talent.

We still can't see Logan Paul as Mr Money in the Bank, though.

The only ex-top-tier champ fighting for that briefcase is Shinsuke Nakamura, and while we're never ever going to count out a man as brilliant as Nak, at 43 it's fair to say his star is beginning to fade.

So as well as giving one of these men a title shot, this match is really a chance for every single one of these guys to make one hell of a statement, namely that they deserve to be a main event star.

We back them to pull it off, and we back Butch to grab the briefcase on his way to regaining his full name and eventually winning the title.

PREDICTION: Butch

World Heavyweight Championship: Seth 'Freakin' Rollins vs Finn Bálor

WWE

The jury's still very much out on the World Heavyweight Championship.

Is it a title every bit the equal of its predecessors and the "Undisputed" WWE Universal Championship? Or is it firmly a runners-up prize for anyone who can't dethrone Roman Reigns.

At least in Seth 'Freakin' Rollins it's got a top tier talent holding it, and one who'll do everything he can to elevate it to the level of The Head of the Table's title.

And part of that is taking on all-comers and the biggest talent on the roster, so the collision course with Finn Bálor is actually a welcome one.

Not that Seth will see it entirely that way during the match, which is sure to feature some involvement from Finn's Judgment Day goons, but we still think that the ex-Shield man has enough in his locker to keep ahold of his title for a long while yet despite that.

PREDICTION: Seth 'Freakin' Rollins

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) vs Matt Riddle

wwe money in the bank 2023 gunther vs matt riddle
WWE

Roman Reigns? Meh. There's a fair argument that the most dominant WWE champion in recent years has actually been Gunther.

While RR has been on the verge of losing his crown several times over and bent the rules beyond breaking point to stop that from happening, it feels as though Gunther has never really been in danger during this squillion day reign.

He's powered through and shrugged off nearly every test, but Matt Riddle is proving to be a thorn in his side and the side of Imperium as a whole.

And while it seems foolhardy to bet against the Austrian in any circumstances, all things come to an end, and often unexpectedly.

Riddle is an unorthodox athlete who is deceptively powerful himself, and he may well shock London, and the world, come MITB time.

PREDICTION: Matt Riddle

Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio

wwe money in the bank 2023 cody rhodes vs dominik mysterio
WWE

Cody Rhodes has a date set with Roman Reigns in his future, surely, as well as a collision course with Brock Lesnar to finish up what they've started.

For now though both those feuds are on the back burner, Cody Rhodes isn't one to sit around twiddling his thumbs (even if he could with that cast on...).

Instead, after fending off repeated invitations to join The Judgment Day, he's going head-t-head with their Boy Wonder, Dom Dom.

Cody's current run, and arguably his entire career, has been about honouring his father, while Dom's recent antics have all been about trashing his.

Rhea Ripley will inevitably attempt to tip the balance, but we predict Brandi Rhodes will even things up there, making it that little bit easier for Cody to pick up the W.

PREDICTION: Cody Rhodes

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (c) vs Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez

wwe money in the bank 2023 ronda rousey and shayna baszler vs liv morgan and raquel rodriguez
WWE

While new belts have been springing up left, right and centre in the WWE, a sensible decision was made for the women's tag division, which could barely support one title over three brands, let alone two.

So the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship is no more, and Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are the power duo holding the one belt across the whole company, after their defeat of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

But in the wings were Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, the former champs who never actually lost the belts, but had to relinquish them due to injury.

They'll want to put right that wrong, but in truth we think this is a match up that's too big, too soon given Morgan's recent time on the shelf.

PREDICTION: Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler

Bloodline Civil War: Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)

wwe money in the bank 2023 bloodline civil war
WWE

The best, most intricate story in professional wrestling just got another wrinkle.

Sami Zayn is long out of the picture, but the Bloodline Civil War is only really kicking in

When Jimmy Uso kicked the Head of the Table, instead of meekly going back to Reigns as expected, Jey joined in the superkick party.

Now, it's full on war, and whatever happens we can't see The Bloodline reuniting after this.

What that means for Roman Reigns is yet to be seen, but anything less than a victory will surely be a sign of weakness that he cannot accept.

But accept he must, as we think Jimmy and Jey have been pushed beyond breaking point, and that pent up rage and vengeance will overcome both Reigns and the power of Solo Sikoa.

PREDICTION: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
