But whatever thoughts and planning may have been ticking away, the real Road to WrestleMania starts here, with WWE Royal Rumble 2024.

Truth be told, Royal Rumble is probably our favourite pay-per-view/PLE.
You've got the thrill of shock (and not-so-shock) comebacks and debuts, the fun of stories starting rather than just ending, and the sheer mayhem of the Royal Rumble match itself.

And since 2018, we've had not one, but TWO Royal Rumble matches each year, with the incredibly talented women of the WWE also battling it out for a chance to get a world title shot and punch their ticket to WrestleMania.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs Randy Orton vs AJ Styles vs LA Knight [Fatal Four-Way]
Look, everyone thinks that this is a forgone conclusion. Forget about the non-existence of champion's advantage in a Fatal Four-Way. Forget about the still-fractured Bloodline.
After a squillion odd days as champion, surely, surely Roman Reigns will keep things together enough to hold onto the gold until the big one, WrestleMania 40?
Things would have been simpler had the Bloodline not interrupted the Triple Threat between his challengers – each with a bone to pick with the Tribal Chief.
Nick Aldis put his foot down and threw all three men into this match, and now The Big Dog is up against it.
But we've been caught out predicting a loss for Reigns a few times after the last couple of years.
It won't be quick. It won't be pretty. With the amount of veteran talent up against, RR is arguably facing his biggest challenge yet, but by hook or crook, he'll just about get the job done.
PREDICTION: Roman Regins
WWE United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) Kevin Owens
Some people were shocked to see Logan Paul, that Logan Paul, win WWE gold last year.
Not us. He proved on his previous appearances that he's oh-so much more than a big mouth, and was actually good value for his victory when all was said and done.
He's up against Kevin Owens, who has battled past the not-insignificant barriers of Austin Theory, Carmelo Hayes and Santos Escobar to earn the right to put this YouTuber in his place.
They also have a nice bit of history, with KO hitting Paul with a Stunner back in 2021, when he was inexplicably in Sami Zayn's corner at WrestleMania 37.
Logan Paul is bigger, stronger, and yes, wiser, now. But we still fancy KO to put him down once more.
