WWE star Daria Berenato weds Toni Cassano at New Jersey castle, ceremony officiated by Maria Menounos

WWE star Daria Berenato tied the knot with her longtime partner Toni Cassano on Saturday, in a New Jersey wedding officiated by television personality Maria Menounos.

Berenato, 30, better known to wrestling fans by her ring name ‘Sonya Deville,’ is a close friend with Menounos, and credits the celeb with helping launch her career, People reported on Wednesday.

“Maria and her husband Keven [Undergaro] have been a huge part of my life. They’re the reason I’m in the WWE — they introduced me to that whole world,” Berenato told the outlet. “They were my mentors back when I was 20 years old bartending in Los Angeles, so they’ve been with me the entire ride.”

The former “Access Hollywood” host, who has served as an ambassador for the WWE since 2013 and has even participated in past tag-team events, officiated the ceremony held at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, N.J. The venue is described as exuding “the grandeur of a royal palace, reminiscent of mansions built during the gilded age of the late 19th century.”

Berenato, a New Jersey native, said there were almost three full tables of WWE professionals in attendance at the wedding, with around 140 guests in total.

Cassano, 33, a fitness model and mother of two, entrusted both her 8-year-old and 12-year-old daughters with important jobs for the ceremony.

“Our older daughter, Giovanna, she’s very good at playing the piano, so she’s [playing] Toni’s walk-down-the-aisle song. And then our little one, Valentina, is in charge of the rings,” Berenato added, praising their “blended family.”

Menounos and Undergaro reflected on the wedding, telling People that they cherished the fact they were able to be a part of the WWE star’s big day.

“[Berenato] began hosting for our AfterBuzz Network when she was just 21 where she immediately became family to Kev and me,” Menounos wrote on Instagram along with photos from the ceremony.

“First female MMA fighter in WWE history, first openly gay female in WWE history, first in our hearts as her West Coast parents and now proud wife to the equally beautiful, smart, talented and loyal, Toni Cassano!” Menounos continued. “This union was long awaited. And I so cherish this opportunity to officiate their wedding. Their love is a fairytale.”
