Thaddeus Bullard, better known as WWE star Titus O’Neil, is hosting his fourth Back to School Bash at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Aug. 7, and he’s bringing along a famous friend, rapper Flo Rida.

The event, sponsored by his Bullard Foundation, Advent Health, Skanska, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, will have physicals, eye exams, haircuts, food and fun for all Hillsborough County students K-12. They will be giving out 30,000 backpacks stocked with school supplies, while supplies last.

Flo Rida, who broke the record for digital download sales when his hit Low was released in 2007, will be making an appearance and will introduce a “battle of the bands” featuring some of the area’s best high school bands, Bullard said in a YouTube announcement. Some of the bands featured will be from Riverview, Hillsborough, Tampa Bay Tech, Spoto, Robinson and Brandon high schools, plus the award-winning Marching Dragons from Jefferson High School.

“We are so fortunate to have more than 100 corporate and community partners who continue to join hands to ensure that our students will return to school ready to learn,” Bullard said. “We’re excited about returning to Raymond James Stadium where the energy is not only electric, but the volunteers are humbled to be serving and the families are grateful for all the services. It’s a day where we all come together to support one another in a tremendous way.”

Registration is not required to enter the event, but families must register for the medical, dental and eye care services. You can register online, here. Or you can find a QR code to register by looking under Programs at bullardfamilyfoundation.org.

The event, which is intended for Title 1 schools and children in need, runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 7 at the stadium, 4201 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa.
