WWE legend The Undertaker has faced many scary opponents in his time, but during a recent holiday with with Michelle McCool, the Hall of Famer faced off with a shark.

On Twitter, McCool shared a series of videos and photos explaining how she saw a shark in the water while she was relaxing on the beach.

"I was simply enjoying a book on the beach when this 'vegetation' looked a lot like a shark…..so I text hubby @undertaker kinda digging that last picture …A LOT," Michelle wrote.

In one of the videos, The Undertaker (real name Mark Calaway) is seen standing in the water staring down the shark and in the next, the shark swims away after being confronted by the wrestler.

McCool is heard saying: "I guess I wasn't big enough to scare him away but you are." In a follow-up tweet, McCool shared a screenshot of an article about the incident and wrote: "Except it was real…..but just a big, beautiful nurse shark…not that my sweet @undertaker knew that when he came out! #myprotector."

McCool and Calaway have been happily married since 2010, however the former WWE Women's Champion previously admitted she never wanted to meet The Undertaker let alone go on a date with him.

"I grew up watching [WWE] and [The Undertaker] is not the most inviting person when you're watching as a fan," McCool told Digital Spy in 2020.

"I did not want to meet him. I didn't want to meet Kane and obviously I married Mark and Kane is just the nicest guy you'll ever meet.

"But it was just the whole character and he protected it, he lived it and I knew out of respect I had to say hi, but I had no interest in meeting him at all."

McCool went on to say that after working in WWE for a few years she got to know about the man behind The Undertaker character and eventually she agreed to a date.

"I knew his personality a little bit before we actually started dating but it still took time for me to warm up to the idea," she said. "But finally I was like, 'sure we’ll go on a date' and obviously we’re happily married 10 years this summer."
